On one particular night in November 1997, an especially heinous and vicious attack was carried out against her by other teens. This attack resulted in Reena’s death, the prosecution of 8 teenagers, and significant media attention regarding girl violence in 1990s Canada.

Episode 114: The Tragic Murder of Grace Millane
In 2018, Grace Millane took herself on a celebratory vacation after having graduated from college with a degree in marketing and advertising. She decided to take a gap year between graduation and joining the workforce, and traveled to Auckland, New Zealand. There, she met a guy on tinder that she really seemed to hit it off with. Though CCTV footage captures her elevator ride up to his hotel room, no such footage shows her leaving. This case is one of callous murder, excellent investigative work, and one family’s love and dedication to their daughter that they played a vital role in capturing her killer.

Betty Willis’s name may not sound familiar to you, but her voice might. She was a blues singer in the 1960s with a beautiful, soulful voice and a music career on the horizon. She ultimately gave up her entertainment career to focus on her child, and she returned to California. Fast forward to January 1, 2018, 76-year-old Betty Willis was found dead on a sidewalk.
