  • Emily's transition into motherhood was rockier than most. After escaping a DV situation, Emily found herself homeless at 13 weeks pregnant, couch surfing and sleeping on friends' floors. Being pregnant and unable to find work, Emily was placed into a housing commission house where she was left scrambling to set up her home before her son's arrival. Emily's story is one of resilience and persistence to strive for a better life for herself and her family.   • I posted on Instagram that I needed a mental health break from A Happy, Positive Life and I this episode I share why I needed to do this.
    Don’t get me wrong, I love it so much and this is definitely not the end…more like a reset.
    People have asked me if I’m ok and I’m actually great, BECAUSE of doing this. In my recent episode ‘I’m going on a diet…for my brain’ I shared how I'm struggling to switch off...ever, and it’s taking it’s toll. So this time, instead of waiting till I completely burn out, I'm going to stop. Take a breather and slooowwww dooowwwnnn.
    I only want to produce my best content and sometimes that means stepping away and resetting.

  • I have been feeding my brain with so much information lately that it's time for a diet...but what does a 'brain diet' even mean?
    Can you relate to this? My mind has felt like it's in complete 'system overload' and I just can't switch off. Somedays I feel so overwhelmed by everything swirling around in my head that I can't focus enough to get anything done! Being a mum means that you often have to do a million jobs to do at once and it can get all too much at times, not to mention adding in work and trying to find time for yourself.
